First Eucharist

On Saturday 13 June, the St Joseph’s students will be making their First Eucharist. Our Parish Catechist group will be making their First Eucharist at 11am Mass on Sunday 14 June. We will be reserving their seating in the main body of the church, so your usual pew may not be available. We appreciate your understanding. Please keep all of these children and their families in your prayers on this special occasion.

Prayers for the sick and anniversaries

Due to privacy and space restrictions we are changing the way we list the prayers for the sick and anniversaries. From next week we will only read the names of those unwell for 4 weeks in the Prayers of Intercession at the Masses. We will keep their names in the bulletin so they can still be remembered in prayer but we ask that you let us know when their names can be removed from this list. All names for the bulletin intentions should be submitted to the office by the Thursday before for these names to be placed in the bulletin and the prayers for the following weekend.

St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal

Next weekend, there will be a special collection during Mass for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. The Society provides material assistance, including food, clothing, furniture and financial support, to families and households in need throughout Victoria. Parishioners are encouraged to donate generously to help continue the Society’s work of helping those most in need. Donate through the special collection during Mass, via vinnies.org.au or by calling 13 18 12. Please state that the donation is for the Hawthorn Conference.
