Euthanasia Bill - Bishops request action by Catholics

The State Government is seeking to amend Victoria’s euthanasia and assisted suicide laws. If passed, the Government’s Bill would further weaken protections for vulnerable patients and reduce protections for medical practitioners who conscientiously object to euthanasia and assisted suicide. In response to the Government’s plans, the Bishops of Victoria have written to Catholics in Victoria to ask that they contact their local Members of Parliament to urge them to vote against the proposed laws. read more here melbournecatholic.org/euthanasia-bill

Christmas Cleaning Bee

As we approach the joyful celebration of Christmas, we invite you to help assist the Parish Altar group in preparing the church for Christmas.
Join us in the church on Saturday 22 November 9.30 am - 11.30am.
We would be grateful for any assistance as we will be polishing brass, cleaning candlesticks, dusting windowsills and statues, straightening pews and more! Bring along your favourite cleaning supplies otherwise they will be provided. Any assistance is greatly appreciated, and we would love to see you! There will be morning tea in the Parish Centre afterwards.

Month of the Holy Rosary

During the month of October we continue to reflect on the Life of Christ through the experience of Mary.
Mary with the disciples in the Upper Room
Mary teach us the strength of community and the power of prayer. We pray for those who are grieving or fearful.

Mary Assumed into Heaven
This is the fulfillment of Mary’s journey. She has gone before us to where all humanity are destined.

Mary Mother of God.
This feast marks the beginning of each year, 1st January. We are called to remember the Blessings of the past year and draw strength from them.

Hail Mary, full of Grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
And Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
