Fr Des Dwyer SJ
Des Dwyer is Parish Priest at Immaculate Conception Hawthorn. Born in Warrnambool he was educated at Xavier College. After leaving school he joined the Jesuits and was ordained in 1974. He did post graduate studies in Spirituality at St Louis University USA (read more)

Christmas Carols in July
On Wednesday 23 July at 7.30pm join us for a cosy gathering in the Hawthorn Parish Centre with Mince Pies, Christmas Pudding, warm refreshments and a performance of Christmas Carols by the Parish Choir. This is a free event. RSVP for catering purposes - book online here
Readers and Eucharistic Ministers

On Sunday 10 August at 2pm in Immaculate Conception Church, there will be a screening of Glorious Lives: Mary Mackillop, Australia’s First Saint. More details to follow.
Children's Liturgy at 9.30am Mass
We are delighted to be able to extend a particular welcome to children from Prep to Year 6 inclusive at our 9.30 am Sunday Masses .Each Sunday during school term* children have the opportunity at this Mass to take part in their own Liturgy of the Word which involves reading and discussion of the day’s Gospel from the Lectionary for young people, and a range of other appropriate activities (*except when St Joseph’s School Masses are held) For enquiries, please contact the Parish Office on 8862 4000 or see more information here. Food Donations
CatholicCare Victoria are now in need of further food staples to support asylum seeker families, mostly in the Dandenong region. Donations may be left at the Parish Office, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4pm. See more details in the bulletin
