Des Dwyer is Parish Priest at Immaculate Conception Hawthorn. Born in Warrnambool he was educated at Xavier College. After leaving school he joined the Jesuits and was ordained in 1974. He did post graduate studies in Spirituality at St Louis University USA (read more)

A Healing Liturgy will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church at midday on Friday 8 May, followed by lunch in the Parish Centre. All are welcome.
Music and Prayer Night

CatholicCare Victoria Sunday Appeal This Weekend
CatholicCare Victoria works with those facing homelessness, those experiencing mental health challenges, families struggling with relationship problems, newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers, and those experiencing grief and trauma. Mass Count
Australia’s Catholic parishes and dioceses are being invited to undertake the yearly National Count of Attendance this month. Mass counters will be recording attendance at all of our Masses during May.
Advocacy Event

Magis and World Youth Day 2027
Join us for World Youth Day 2027 in Korea for the largest gathering of young people in the world. In the days leading up to WYD, you will take part in MAGIS, the Jesuit international programme for young adults. Gather with participants from across the globe for an Ignatian experience of service, prayer, and reflection before coming together at World Youth Day.
