Des Dwyer is Parish Priest at Immaculate Conception Hawthorn. Born in Warrnambool he was educated at Xavier College. After leaving school he joined the Jesuits and was ordained in 1974. He did post graduate studies in Spirituality at St Louis University USA (read more)

Healing Liturgy
A Healing Liturgy will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church at midday on Friday 14 August, followed by lunch in the Parish Centre. All are welcome.
Feast of the Assumption
There will be a Midday Mass on Saturday 15 August at Immaculate Conception Church to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption.
ICC Gardening
The monthly weed-and-tidy of the ICC gardens will take place on Saturday 15 August, between 9.30am and 11am. Volunteers most welcome.

Archbishop’s Appeal
The 2026 Archbishop’s Campaign supports the vital ministries of our Archdiocese. Tax-deductible donations go to the Archbishop’s Charitable Fund which supports the Priests Retirement Foundation, the Corpus Christi College Building Fund, CatholicCare Victoria Chaplaincy Program, Melbourne Overseas Mission, John Pierce Centre, University of Divinity for the Catholic Theological College as well as Catholic community agencies and service organisations through annual grants. Non-tax-deductible donations go to the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne Religious Projects Fund and support seminarian formation.
