Des Dwyer is Parish Priest at Immaculate Conception Hawthorn. Born in Warrnambool he was educated at Xavier College. After leaving school he joined the Jesuits and was ordained in 1974. He did post graduate studies in Spirituality at St Louis University USA (read more)

Healing Mass
The monthly Healing Mass will be held on Friday 13 February at 12 Noon at ICC with Music by Georgina Docherty and Raphael Cahyono on piano. This will be followed by a light luncheon in the Parish Centre. Everyone is welcome to join!
Lenten Prayer Group
Starting on Monday 16 February, the Lenten Prayer Group, facilitated by Donna Bosnjak, will be held on Mondays during Lent at 7.30 - 8.30pm in the Parish Centre. All are welcome.
Catechist Sacraments for 2026
Enrolment/expression of interest is now open. Candidates need to be in Year 3 or above for First Reconciliation, Year 4 and above for First Eucharist and Year 6 and above for Confirmation.

Children's Liturgy at Immaculate Conception Church
This Sunday the Children’s Liturgy is being held in the Lady Chapel during the 9:30am Mass. We are delighted to be able to welcome children from Prep to Year 6 inclusive. Children have the opportunity at this Mass to take part in their own Liturgy of the Word which involves reading and discussion of the day’s Gospel from the Lectionary for young people, and a range of other appropriate activities We look forward to seeing you and your children. see more information here.
St Joseph's Open Houses 2026
Open Houses is the major annual fundraiser for St Joseph's Primary School, raising funds to facilitate learning and other opportunities for the children of our parish. Maybe it’s full of character, architecturally striking, rich in history, or has a garden that stops people in their tracks!
